From a very early age I have been completely into television shows and what not. And when I was about 15 those shows were my savior, I know for a fact that I would not be here if I couldn’t have found my piece of mind in escaping to fantasy worlds I saw on my favorite shows. When I was a little older an online friend who knew that I was into reading fanfic that I was creative enough to write myself. So I was challenged and I did write and I never stopped.

Well ain’t love what it is all about? I mean in the end we all want to find that one person who loves us regardless. right? In general the shows that I love don’t really show that part of life it is usually only about their professional lives as crime fighting ass kicking women. But seriously name one of them who seems to have a loving relationship outside of the office? Just one … that is all I ask? Can’t do it right? Well neither could I and that kind of bugged me, if love is what we all seek for in life then why are we not seeing that in our ‘rolemodels’ on the television? So when I started writing often unintentionally love became the main topic of my stories.

I refuse to write RPF. I know that there are a lot of people who do, especially now in the Glee fandom, but I won’t write it. I feel fine with fanfiction because you write about characters, fictional characters but when you write RPF you are writing about real people and I don’t feel comfortable with it. I mean to each it’s own but that is my opinion, so I won’t write it.

Well I actually started out with Charmed/Buffy/Angel so I guess that was supernatural but right around that time Crime Shows became immensely popular and I started watching them. At first it was just CSI, and I loved it! So I guess I moved on to crime show fics. The main focus of my fandoms shifted towards crime shows because more and more shows started to air.

For a long time however CSI was my main focus, especially the ‘subtext’ relationship of Sara Sidle and Catherine Willows. And I am aware that many people won’t see it that way but that is what I saw, or what I wanted to see. Of course it never happened but then again as far as lesbian relationships on regular television shows go we are screwed anyway with the exception of Callie/Erica and Callie/Arizona on Grey’s Anatomy of course.

While my fics evolve around crime shows, the crimes are hardly ever a focus in my fics. Usually I kind of tend to forget about them half way through the story because my main focus lies on the characters and the couples.

I am a creative person and for some reason from an early age on writing has been part of my life. I have found some stories I wrote when I was barely nine years old. It’s not much or a great story but I do believe that my love for writing started back there.

Due to personal issues I became very disconnected from life and reading fanfiction became my escape. I was a member of a huge forum evolving around Charmed called ‘The Prophecy’ and there were RPG’s and fanfiction on that site. I started out as a fanfiction reader and a RPG player when one of the fellow members asked me why I wasn’t a writer. I thought about it for a while and wasn’t sure if I would even dare to post anything. She persuaded me to write something and I did and the response I got was overwhelming. It was the first time in a very long time that people seemed enthusiast about something I did.

So I continued writing and I wrote and insanely long story about Charmed, Buffy and Angel. It was crazy especially for a first story with that many characters. Ridiculous! And I have to admit that I never finished it. But I got caught by the bug! And a fanfiction writer was born.
