This weeks assignment is to write a ship manifesto for your favorite couple well at this moment that would be either Callie/Arizona, Emily/JJ or Rachel/Quinn I choose for the latter. Calzona is canon and doesn’t need any explanation they just are. So it would either be Emily/JJ or Quinn/Rachel, ultimately I choose for the Glee girls because I so far have never stumbled across a ship manifesto for them while I have seen several for Emily and JJ.
Rachel Berry & Quinn Fabray – Faberry, get it right!
Rachel: ‘Have you ever liked somebody so much you just wanna lock yourself in your room, turn on sad music and cry?’

Rachel Berry
Rachel Berry is the self-proclaimed golden star of McKinley high who isn’t afraid to dream big. Her ultimate goal is to become a star on Broadway. She grew up with her two gay dad’s Hiram and Leroy.
At the beginning of the new school year when everyone has to sign up for extracurricular activities at school Rachel is the first person to sign up for the Glee club adding a ‘gold star’ behind her name as a metaphor. She’s a talented singer with a dream. But she’s also lonely, often the target of slushy throwing football players or cheerleaders and picked on by the ‘Unholy trinity’, headed by no other than head cheerleader Quinn Fabray.
She’s known as a drama queen, who isn’t afraid to storm out of a room when things don’t go the way she likes it and claims that every solo in the Glee Club should be hers because she’s so talented. A claim which doesn’t make her very popular by her fellow Glee members who themselves are all known as outcasts. She’s also very driven and a leader, who’s desperately trying to forge friendships with her fellow Glee club members.
Quinn Fabray
Quinn Fabray is introduced as the head cheerleader of McKinley High, the Head Bitch in Charge and the right hand of cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester. She’s the daughter of Russell and Judy Fabray, who grew up in a conservative Christian family and is the president of the celibacy club. Since Quinn is the head cheerleader, she is the most popular girl who easily looks down on others beneath her. Rachel Berry is one of her biggest enemies, probably because she dares to dream of a future and will not allow a person like Quinn to stop her from reaching her ultimate goal.
Quinn’s dating McKinley’s quarterback, Finn Hudson. Quinn’s comfortable life soon comes to an end when her boyfriend becomes the leader of McKinley’s Glee club together with Quinn’s nemesis Rachel. Who has a crush on Finn.
Quinn joins the Glee club to keep an eye on Finn and to spy for Sue Sylvester who has her own vendetta with Glee club teacher Will. Soon thereafter Quinn also finds out that she’s pregnant which only worsened her predicament at school and diminishes her popularity to a level unknown to Quinn before her fall from grace.
Rachel Berry & Quinn Fabray
No matter how many times Quinn has put her down or has ordered others to do so for her, Rachel is still willing to forgive her and become friends. Especially in her time of need Rachel is there for Quinn and even while the ex-cheerleader doesn’t take her up on her offer of friendship it gives a beautiful insight into the kind of person Rachel is.

If Quinn Fabray is such a strong and popular girl you might wonder why she often seems so worried about what effect Rachel might have on her boyfriends. First with Finn, followed by Puck and then back to Finn again. Both girls have dated these boys but neither relationships lasted for a very long time. It’s almost as if they loose interest as soon as they have the boy they desired so much.
Quinn: ‘I know some guys cheat on their wives or pregnant girlfriends. Just don’t do it with Rachel.’
Or why she feels the need to draw Rachel on bathroom walls or in her notebook, especially Rachel surrounded by hearts … if that is what you do because you hate the other person you are doing it wrong!

Rachel: You don’t think people whisper about me in the lunch rooms or draw pornographic pictures of me on the bathroom walls?
Quinn: That was me, actually.
Though Quinn being kind to Rachel is often done with ulterior motives in mind she’s able to push Rachel to new highs. First Quinn tells the Glee Club that she thinks that Rachel is a very talented song writer and that she is willing to work with her. Only to completely break her down later when they are supposed to be writing. Which gives Rachel a reason to write the best songs she’s written so far ‘Loser Like Me’ and ‘Get It Right’.

It’s a case of opposites attract
While a lot of people might not agree with me on the Faberry thing I know what I see and I would like it to be real. Sure we have Brittana or maybe we will at least in the future and of course there is Klaine. But I would love to see Faberry as well, because I think that these two can make it really interesting because of the kind of characters they are. They are complete opposites and we all know that opposites attract it’s what makes a relationship interesting. Though I love Brittana I will always be a true Faberry shipper.
Lea Michele & Dianna Agron

Lea Michele and Dianna Agron (or as they are often referred to, Achele) are amazing talented actresses with an awesome sense of humor and twitter accounts. And they often use them to send messages which they know will be read by thousands of fans, and within seconds retweeted. While they are nemises on the show, in real life they are best friends and it often shows by the messages and pictures they share.
In true life imitating art fashion, the faberry lovers are fuelled by a whole lot of Achele loving. I am sure that they know what goes on in the fandom, how could they not with twitter and tumblr. They know what Faberry is and they also know that it is very much alive amongst the fans eventhough it isn’t canon. And their own behavior is adding fuel to the fire.
Just take a look at well any picture, interview or video with the two of them present. They are always hugging eachother, watching eachother (almost longingly), they finish each other’s sentences and more. And I am not claiming that anything real is going on between them I am merely showing how they themselves don’t seem to have a problem with the idea of a Faberry relationship on the show.
“Have I ever made out with a girl? In my life? Oh my godness? I don’t know. Maybe?”
– Dianna Agron
Or look on the internet for that all too famous GQ shoot, yes we are all aware of the one I am talking about. Sure Cory Monteith was in some of those pictures too but did anyone who isn’t a Cory/Finn fan notice that? I think not. Besides he was wearing more clothes in one picture than they combined did in all the pictures. And I know that a lot of people thought that shoot was offensive, bordering on pedofelia even. I personally don’t agree while they portray sixteen year old girls on the show they themselves are twentyfour and therefor fully capable of choosing whether or not they want to do photoshoots like these. There is a difference between their characters and the actual actresses.
