Nanolysed!

I got myself Nanolysed!

10 000 word shoutout!!!

I probably shouldn’t be this happy since I should have had 10 000 words at least a week ago. But I am, I have been so busy and even though I don’t want to say it out loud yet but with half of the month gone changes of me finishing in time are nihil…  zero… or well very small.

But I am still doing it and even with my freelance project of a complete logo and corporate design for papers, cards and what not. And of course the three websites for my job and my regular job to top it off. I am still here and I am still doing it.

And that is actually what kept me back last year and the year before.  I thought that I would be too busy. I am. I can’t put it any other way but the story is developing and I am getting there maybe not in the next two weeks but it will reach 50 000 words some day.

Oh yeah did I tell you about the fact that I had to rewrite two complete scenes because of significant changes in Criminal Minds. I had set a timeline in which I choose a particular moment in NCIS and in Criminal Minds as the same moment in time. So that I had a base from where I could work out my story. And then they decide to let Hotch step down and Morgan take his place a too big of a change to let it go.Because my storyline starts at the beginning of the new year.

Some useful information

As you can see I have added some widgets on the right side, all of them are important to the writing process. Of course there is the Nanowrimo widget which will count my word count, writing hours and days remaining.

I have added the last.fm widget because in my case music and writing go together. I can’t write without music playing. Better yet I always have either my music on or the television on. I can’t stand silence and work flows better when there is music.

I have also added links to the sidebar, they are divided in three groups. One is ‘my websites’ which is pretty obvious, then there is ‘important links’ which will give you some links to programs I use or websites I like to use. And last but not least is a category which holds links to websites online where I got my information for my story like ‘TimeGlider’ which is where you can find the story line for my story in a time line.

Of course there is also a calendar and a tag cloud.

Timeglider

I am working on a timeline for my story but since part of it will be in the past I have searched the web for an easy application to use for this project. Since I am trying to sync two completely different lives together at one point in the past and because for story telling purposes it is important that it is at the right point because their are other factors which are important as in what part of the story it will fit the best.

Someone at the Nanowrimo forum mentioned Timeglider which is what I am using. Take a sneak peak at the timeline I am making if you are curious!
