Less then one day to go…

Less then one day to go till November first! Yes, we are almost there …

I can’t wait I am excited, it has been rather difficult not to start writing already.  I am usually one of those people who will just jump right in.  I get an idea and I go right ahead. Writing, I have never been much of a researcher I do the research as I go along. Which in fact might cost very valuable time when you are actually writing.

But this time it is different, over the years my writing style has been changing and I have been adapting to different conditions. And well this time I am just going to have to work differently according to the rules of Nanowrimo.  So I have been working on a time line since part of my story will be in the past and continue towards the future. I have found the perfect spot where my story will take place in the past. You are probably wonder why I am saying that I have found the perfect place when I am the one making the story.

But I am writing fanfiction, I wanted to write an original fic but all the ideas that popped into my mind were based on television show characters or well the ideas could lead anyone who knows me back to some of my favorite characters. So instead of changing names and trying to write the story with supposedly ´original´ characters I choose to just go ahead and write fanfiction.

So there is already a certain time line present for my characters and I had to find the perfect spot of where my characters met in the past and what caused them to split up again only to meet almost 15 years later completely estranged from each other.

So if I seem preoccupied or distant I probably am thinking about my story, my characters and how to make this the best story I can imagine. I want to make it a love story one that started in the past and for some reason was lost (which I already have in my mind figured out) and then they find each other again.  There will be drama! Lots of drama cause I love drama and I want to get into my characters minds because I love that too. I love writing the ‘internal dialogue’ (which explains the title of my website ).

Anyway that was not the reason why I started writing this post, my initial reason was that today is the day of the kick off party for Nanowrimo. I am going to catch a train in a couple of hours  and go to Utrecht to meet some other dutch Nanowrimo participants. I am curious to meet them, but I am also nervous.

I guess it’ll be fine and it’ll be fun. We’ll see!
